So I did some damage at Walmart recently and the refresh to my closet is thanking me. I was looking to add some summer staples as well as some white denim and heeled sandals.
My favorite shoe find were these Sam Edeleman Estella sandals. They are an easy slip on style, but the block heel makes it perfect to wear with maxi skirts and dresses. Made with natural raffia with a pretty gold metallic woven throughout, they have the natural casualness of summer vibes with a little extra pop of sparkle.
Although the raffia sandals were amongst some of the options I was looking for, I also came across some other gems that I couldn’t pass up. This white ruffle maxi skirt was one of them. Not being the tallest person, as expected, wearing this skirt was made possible my by new heeled sandals and I loved the combo together. The skirt is 100% cotton, breezy and practically weightless, making it super comfortable for all day wear. Will easily be wearing it all summer!
Because I love wearing white during summer, (especially after a fresh self tan), I was in need of some white denim. I had run my last favorite pair to it’s end, and was on the hunt for a new favorite. These raw hem cropped flare jeans are not something I would typically go for because I tend to think the silhouette is unflattering on my height, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I like them once they were on. I liked them best with a chic all white look like I styled above, and the natural accessories like the raffia heels and bamboo clutch popped against the creamy canvas of the outfit.
I picked up a couple of jackets, including a cropped denim, a lightweight linen and a cute utility style one with a cinched waist. Had fun styling all of these, mixing and matching with all my new finds. As my area starts has started it’s phases of reopening, I’m looking forward to wearing these out in the coming months!
