I’ve wanted to make a donut wall for years now and I figured this event at Truth and Beauty Spa was a good of a time as any. It might look super easy but it takes hours to put together and it was totally worth all those man hours at the end. If you decide to build one yourself just know it will be instagammed like crazy and remembered for years. All you need is a trip to your local hardware store, about seven hours and dunkin donuts and you’re all good to go!

Materials Needed:

– Plywood (we purchased plain plywood and had the store cut it to size. We decided to go with 40’ x 40’) – Wood stain or paint. Paint brush. – Six 36” dowels. – Ruler. – Pencil. – Gloves. – Hand saw. – Screws. – Drill gun. Sandpaper. Drop Cloth. Hot glue gun. Glue sticks. – 3” wide x ½’ wood for border. Dunkin Donuts & Dunkin Donuts coffee to wash it all down!

Step 1: Lay down the drop cloth to avoid staining any of the surrounding area. Step 2: Lay the plywood down on protected surface. Put on gloves and apply multiple coats of wood stain or paint onto wooden dowels, wooden border and plywood until the color is even. Let it dry. Step 3: Mark the dowels at 3.5” long. If you are looking to put two donuts on each mark at 4” long. Step 4: Clamp down the dowels and cut to size. Step 5: Sand the dowel ends to get a nice, clean finish. Optional: We decided to sand out the plywood to get more of a even finish. Step 6: Drill the border onto the plywood. Step 7: On the plywood with your pencil and ruler it’s time to mark where the dowels will go. Our Dunkin Donuts measured to be about 4”. Start 4” from the bottom of the wood and every six inches draw a small mark where you will glue in the dowels. Continue to draw circles until you finished a six by six. Step 8: Apply hot glue to the ends of the dowels and place onto the markings made and let dry. Step 9: Top with your favorite Dunkin Donuts.

* Thank you Dunkin Donuts for all the yummy donuts & Artistry in Flowers for the beautiful flowers.
