Whenever I am looking for a good place to eat outside of Long Island, I always ask my instagram pal Booze and Burgers. I told him I would be heading into Brooklyn and really wanted pancakes. He suggested I try Sunday in Brooklyn. After looking at their Instagram and seeing these airy, fluffy, golden pancakes, I knew I had to try them. I mean come on, these pictures say it all!
If you are in search of the best pancakes in New York, well it’s time you take a trip to Sunday in Brooklyn. It was definitely worth the hour hike from Long Island into Williamsburg. We arrived when they first opened to avoid any wait time since I have heard that this is one of the hottest brunch spots to hit Brooklyn. Be prepared that you might have a little wait. The atmosphere and location are everything. If you are a people watcher like I am, you will be in heaven. At points in the meal there were a lot of silence so I can just stare and listen to everyone. I ordered a pretty latte and malted pancakes topped with a thick hazelnut maple praline syrup and brown butter for $15.
The dishware is so beautiful as well as the marble tables. It’s a instagrammer’s dream come true! After all, we are always in search of a pretty latte and marble tables. If you visit in the spring or summer, I noticed a beautiful rooftop above and will definitely be taking advantage of it when the weather gets warmer.
