Taking a quick moment to break from all things Christmas to wrap my head around Thanksgiving being around the corner!
If you’re wondering why, it’s because my new sherpa teddy coat is giving me all the turkey day vibes. It probably has to do with it’s rich rust color that has me daydreaming all the warm comfort foods. It’s officially countdown to the biggest feast of the year and I can’t contain my excitement….because, food!
All hungry girl jokes aside, today I took this Sherpa coat from Walmart out for a spin because I’m thinking this might be my outerwear of choice for the big bird day. My previous experience with Walmart’s Dress America line is that it’s chock full of the latest fashion trends and seasonal styles so I knew I would find something budget friendly that would fit the bill. And once I saw the rust color of this one, it just felt like the epitome of fall. And it’s oversized fit will guarantee I won’t be trying to squeeze in after I’ve eaten my fill of all the helpings!
In trying to decide what to wear, this scarf became the glue that pulled the entire outfit together. It has the same muted tones of the coat, with shades of pink and neutrals. The blush pink sweater further softened the color palette and I was loving the combo of pink and rust together.
My sherpa lined lace-up boots were perfect for this look. These pair have a very unique rosy brown tone to them that I felt looked really good with the pinks I was wearing. Through on some basic denim and this studded crossbody bag and sure enough, when I gave myself the one over, I was sold!
Pom pom hats have become my headgear of choice for these colder temperatures but I especially love the pop of playfulness the double pom poms give. All in all I loved how everything came together and I might just wear this exact outfit for Thanksgiving. Bring on all the yums!!
